Historic trial
On 1 June 2009, Air France flight 447 from Rio de Janeiro to Paris went down off the Brazilian coast. The Airbus A330 disappeared with its 228 occupants.
16 years later, after a decade of investigation, a dismissal, an order of referral and an acquittal at first instance, the trial reopened before the Paris Court of Appeal. There I delivered my first plea on behalf of victims' families.
This case captures everything about my way of working, understanding the matter before the law, listening before building, refusing the comfort of generality.
